The cabin at Riverbend Retreat was exactly what I was looking for. The cabin was clean, plenty of room, and located about 10 minutes from down town Chimney Rock and Lake lure and all the hiking trails. The owner makes you feel as if you are at your own home. Plus the drive down to the town is beautiful and we saw something different every day. The cabin is located on a private lot and every morning sitting on the big wrap around porch I would watch the deer feeding off in the woods while drinking a cup of coffee. The cabin has everything you need, TV, do your own cooking, plenty of sleeping room and my favorite part was sitting on the front porch in the rocking chairs. It felt great after a day of hiking. Plus if you want to eat out, there are several restaurants only a short drive away. The owner makes it a no hassle process to rent the cabin. Plus the owner sent me a lot of information about the surrounding area that was very helpful. Our stay at Riverbend Retreat was as good as it gets on a vacation; I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a stay at the Lake Lure area, I also recommend that everyone take the boat tour it provides a lot of information about the surrounding area and it is breathtaking to see Chimney Rock from the lake. I will definitely be going back and renting this cabin again.

cozy, comfortable, very clean cabin. Very much enjoyed our stay here and enjoyed Lake Lure area. Did some fishing, white water rafting and a tour of Biltmore. Would recommend the cabin and area for a great family trip.
Impressed with this cabin. It gave you the "mountain feel". When we arrived there was a book that gave you more than enough information on things to do around the cabin. We went zip lining at Canopy Ridge that was about 5 minutes away from the cabin. It was well worth the money spent doing that (great tour guides). The cabin was just like it was described, clean and adorable inside. I would recommend this to anyone who was looking for a great get away. The owner was very responsive and quick to any questions I had and very HELPFUL.

Just wanted to write and tell you how VERY much we enjoyed our stay at your cabin. It was just perfect and we all loved it. I wish you could have heard the kids when we drove up to it and went inside. The ohs and ahs were plentiful. Thank you for being so helpful with all your info as we took full advantage of it and saw and did so many things. But also had plenty of time to rest in relax in the cabin.

We were excited to stay at such a warm and cozy place. The cabin was clean and prepped for our arrival. We were pleased with every detail. From the helpful advice found in the notebook, to the comfy beds, we felt at home. Mirror lake was the respite we needed after a busy season in our lives. We will be back.
